Monday, June 22, 2009 Ford Introduces Its New Taurus to the Press
Ford introduced its 2010 Taurus sedan to the press last week, moving the launch date of the new car ahead a full year. The American manufacturer is currently very aggressive on the market—including the fleet market. Though it has just begun offering a new Fusion to the fleet market, it will also soon offer the bigger Taurus to the same customers. The Taurus will come equipped with a standard 3.5-litre 263-horsepower V6 with front-wheel drive but it will also be available with all-wheel-drive. There will be a performance version of the same car, called SHO, that will come with the new 365-horsepower EcoBoost engine and all-wheel drive. Base price of the fleet-oriented SE version will begin at $29,999 while the SHO will go for $48,199. (ED)
