 On May 6, Ford Motor Company was recognized with the esteemed “Green Choice Award” by Natural Health Magazine. The company received the award for its continuous efforts towards a greener future. Among the numerous data used by the publication to judge the company were its alternate energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water use, recycling, and operational energy footprints. Ford launched the EcoBoost engine that will improve vehicle fuel economy by as much as 20% while the company conserves up to 900 tons of carbon emissions and 600 000 U.S. gallons of water because Escape hybrid seats are made with 100 percent post-industrial recycled fabric.
