Friday, December 11, 2009 Chevrolet Unveils Its New Cruze for the American Market
 GM’s Chevrolet division has unveiled the North American version of its Cruze compact sedan, which is already popular in Europe and Asia. Bound to replace the Cobalt soon, the new Cruze will be powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 136 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque, or an optional 1.4-litre turbo four-cylinder engine that pumps out 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque and delivers, according to the manufacturer, up to 40 miles to the US gallon. The car will be available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission during the third quarter of 2010. (ED)
