Chevrolet Introduces Its 2011 Caprice Police Car

Though it had announced it would not market a rear-wheel drive V8 powered sedan in the near future, Chevrolet has nonetheless introduced a new sedan for police work, the 2011 Caprice Police Patrol, at the annual International Association of Chiefs of Police convention in Denver, Colorado. What’s particular with this car is that it will be a full-size, rear-wheel driven sedan powered by a 6,0L V8 engine with fuel-saving Active Fuel management technology and E85 capability. The Caprice cop car will also be available with a V6 engine but only later in the 2012 model year. The new Caprice is based on GM’s global rear-wheel drive family of vehicles, like the Chevrolet Camaro. (ED)
