BSM Technologies to expand its U.S. sales presence

BSM Technologies Inc. (BSM) announced August 2 its plan to significantly expand its U.S. sales efforts.

The focal point of this expansion is the appointment of Richard D. Estenson as Vice-President of Sales - US.  In this capacity, Richard will be responsible for the leadership of the U.S. Sales Team and associated business development activities.

"BSM has had some key wins in the U.S. and is very focused on accelerating profitable sales growth in this market" said Aly Rahemtulla, President and CEO. "Richard has a tremendous sales background with a focus on telematics solutions and will be a great asset to our team."

Mr. Estenson has over 15 years of Fleet Management experience and most recently was a Regional Business Manager with WebTech Wireless, where he was responsible for the development and sales growth of the company's GPS Asset Tracking Solutions. His accounts included one of the largest municipal governments in the United States and a leading overnight freight provider, resulting in significant new sales. Previous to WebTech, Richard was Managing Partner of a privately owned Fleet Management Firm, and with Enterprise Fleet Management, a leading provider of Commercial Fleet Services based in Houston, Texas.

Concurrent to Mr. Estenson coming on board, BSM has hired two sales representatives in the New York area who will work closely with him on several planned growth initiatives - with a particular focus on leveraging their combined experience in the telematics industry.

Based out of Woodbridge, ON, BSM provides remote monitoring, fleet management, fleet diagnostics and automated vehicle security systems.
