Monday, June 08, 2009 Another New EV Manufacturer Is Born
The demand for electric vehicles is growing in leaps and bounds and the latest player to throw its hat in the ring is Miles Electric Vehicle, an American manufacturer of neighbourhood EVs for fleet. It just started Coda Automotive and its first product should be a compact sedan built by Harbin Harfei Automotive with batteries from Tianjin Lishen Battery, both from China. The car will seat five and have a range from 145 to 190 km with a top speed of 130 km/h. The car will be sold via the Internet, mostly in California, and will be available in the fall of 2010. (ED)
