An Electric Ford Transit Connect?

Last week, Ford introduced a taxi version of its already very popular Transit Connect commercial minivan. But that was not all—Ford also introduced, at the Chicago Auto Show, an all-electric version of its commercial compact truck, a vehicle developed with the help of Azure Dynamics, a company specialized in the conversion of regular vehicles to electric vehicles. The electric model will have a range of about 120 km and have a recharging time of about six to eight hours with a 240-volt connection. The Turkish-built Transit Connect modified for electric use will have a price of about $60,000 in the U.S. (ED)
