All-New Prius c Due to Join Prius Family in Canada

Toyota Canada plans to bring the all-new 2012 Prius c to market in March of 2012, thereby introducing Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive to the subcompact segment. The letter “c” in Prius c stands for “city” since the car is designed to be an urban-friendly vehicle with a combined fuel consumption rating of 3.7 L/100 km. Toyota says this means the Prius c, “offers the lowest L/100 km rating of any vehicle without a plug.”

With the Prius c, Toyota Canada will make its hybrid technology available to subcompact car shoppers with a starting MSRP below $21,000.
