A Stretched Hyundai Equus to Come?

Korean manufacturer Hyundai unveiled its new Equus luxury sedan at the New York Auto Show last spring. According to reliable sources, the car will be sold in North America later next year. But lately, Hyundai has been producing an 11.8-inch longer stretched version of the same sedan that is already on sale in South Korea. If this version lands on our shores, it will be competition to the extended versions of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-series sedans. The Equus shares its rear-drive platform with the Hyundai Genesis sedan already sold in North America. (ED)
