78,662 sales for Mazda in 2010

Mazda Canada closed 2010 retailing 78,662 vehicles, an increase of 7 percent compared to 2009. Sales of Mazda passenger cars, crossover utility vehicles and light trucks all increased in 2010.

Passenger car sales totalled 65,079 units, representing a 3 percent year-over-year increase.  Crossover utility vehicle sales totalled 11,038 units, an increase of 27 percent, and B-Series pickup truck sales of 2,545 units represent a 55 percent increase over 2009.

Driving Mazda’s growth in 2010 was the continuing strong demand for the compact Mazda3 (47,740 sales), and crossover utility vehicles (4,466 CX-7 and 1,282 CX-9).
