For years, Mary Kay Cosmetics has been giving away pink Cadillacs to the few Mary Kay representatives who were able to achieve lofty milestones in their cosmetic career. Now, all that is changing with the introduction of the pink Ford program.
Ford of Canada has secured a new partnership with Mary Kay Cosmetic Ltd. “Career Car Program”, adding a pink Ford Edge and pink Ford Taurus to the list of rewards Mary Kay representatives can not aspire to drive.
“Mary Kay still offers the pink Cadillac,” says Barb Cooper, Business Development Manager, Fleet Sales, Ford of Canada. “But we earned the opportunity to work with them at other reward levels, and that’s where the volume is.”
Mary Kay gave away their first pink Edge at the end of November to Ming Tsang, a Mary Kay Independent Sales Director, but there’s more to come. “In the first quarter of 2012 we are going to deliver another 25 pink Fords across the country,” Cooper adds.
“Mary Kay is a unique client,” says Kathryn Foster, Assistant Manager, Strategic Account Management, ARI. “Their drivers see these vehicles not only as a business tool or as a perk, but this is also a reward for them. ARI is proud to be part of this process.”
Any Ford vehicle would be welcome as a reward, but a pink Edge is something that many Mary Kay representatives hope to earn. “I’m excited to have reached this milestone in my Mary Kay business,” said Ming Tsang. “Earning a Mary Kay Career Car is the ultimate symbol of success – and for the Company to recognize my hard work and dedication to enriching women’s lives with a new Ford Edge – in pink nonetheless – is truly remarkable. This car really fits my needs as a driver and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and paint the town pink!”
