The heart and soul of any organization is the people who work for it. Hence, a client’s initial contact with an employee is a crucial moment. The experience, whether positive or negative, reflects the company’s image and often influences customers’ feelings, and future decisions. Foss National Leasing, a division of The Foss Corporate Group, has mastered this approach by focusing on clients, needs and exceeding their expectations.
With offices in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Edmonton, the Foss Corporate Group employs over 350 people, manages more than 84,000 vehicles nationally, owns and operates several automotive franchises, a leasing company and a wholesale used vehicle operation. Foss National Leasing is now the largest privately owned, dealerbased fleet management leasing company in Canada.

Sandra Lapierre,ergo-therapist,explains to a Foss employee the correct seating position to prevent back injuries.

Caring for their personnel
After meeting with Morais, I was invited to attend a presentation by Sandra Lapierre, a professional ergo-therapist. Lapierre explained how to apply ergonomics in the workplace. She outlined methods that can be used to avoid injury due to incorrect seating positions or bad habits related to office work. After the presentation, she visited employees’ workstations to verify and adjust their seating positions. Each employee’s chair is the latest in ergonomic technology—now that’s taking care of a company’s best assets, it’s employees!

Business partner
To complete the day, the Customer Service team was invited into the conference room for a second information session with one of Foss’ business partners, AmeriFleet Transportation Services. Matthew P. Betz, VP National Account Sales, and Terri Stiffler, Client Relation manager, hosted the presentation to educate the staff on the various services offered through the partnership with AmeriFleet across NorthAmerica.
It was a very inspiring and refreshing visit, to say the least! In today’s hectic world, we can all find room in our daily work environment for an equal balance of efficiency, productivity, and human relations.
